18th Annual Global LambdaGrid Workshop

The 18th Annual Global LambdaGrid Workshop (GLIF 2018) will be held on 20-21 September 2018 at the Kulturværftet (Culture Yard) in Helsingør (Elsinore), Denmark. This is being held in conjunction with the 30th NORDUnet Conference (NDN18).

All meetings will be held in the Kulturværftet at Allegade 2, Helsingør, Denmark.


Accommodation is not included in the registration fee, but NORDUnet 2018 has reserved rooms in the Hotel Brinkly (5 km away) until 18 August 2018, in the Sleep2night (4km away), the Sauntehaus Slotshotel (10km away), and Hotel Hillerød (25 km away).

It is also possible to stay in the Marina Plaza in Helsingborg, Sweden which is a 30 min ferry ride across the Øresund from Helsingør.


The registration fee is EUR 125 per person for GLIF 2018 only. This fee does not include participation in NDN18.

If you're planning to attend both GLIF 2018 and NDN18, the combined registration fee is EUR 525 before 1 May 2018, EUR 575 before 15 August 2018, and EUR 700 thereafter.

If you wish to attend 18th Annual Global LambdaGrid Workshop and/or NDN18, you may register and pay online.

Some nationalities require visas to enter Denmark/Schengen Area. If you require an invitation letter, please contact the event organisers.


Proposals should be submitted to the workshop organisers for full consideration before 31 May 2018. The following information should be included:

  1. Contact person: Name, Organisation, E-mail
  2. Title of demonstration
  3. Purpose of demonstration (1 sentence)
  4. Description of demonstration(maximum of 1 page)
  5. Link to additional information (URL)
  6. Hardware requirements: Display (HDTV, projector etc..), Bulletin board for poster etc..
  7. Network requirements: Bandwidth, Protocol support etc..
  8. Required setup and testing time

Connectivity to the venue is expected to be 100 Gb/s.

The workshop organisers will endeavour to accommodate demonstration requirements, but acceptance is subject to availability of on-site hardware and network capacity.
