Venue
All meetings except the demonstrations will be held in the Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601, United States. This is in the downtown area of Chicago (see map).
The hotel can be reached as follows:
- By 'L' elevated train - USD 2.25
From Chicago O'Hare International Airport - follow signs to CTA or 'trains to city' from Terminals 1, 2, 3 by foot; or from Terminal 5 take the Airport Transit System (ATS) to Terminal 3, then by foot. Take the Blue Line to the Clark/Lake stop, then walk one block north to the river, and 5 blocks east along the river to the hotel.
From Midway International Airport - follow signs to CTA. Take the Orange Line to the State/Lake stop, then walk one block north to the river, and 3 blocks east along the river to the hotel. - By shared shuttle ride - one way fare is approximately USD 31 from O'Hare and USD 26 from Midway
- By taxi - one way fare is approximately USD 40 from O'Hare and USD 30 from Midway
- By car - not recommended as parking at the hotel is USD 52 per night.
Accommodation
Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodation, but rooms are available in the Hyatt Regency Chicago at USD 205 per night plus tax. These rates are available in the period 4-15 October 2012 and are therefore also applicable for eScience 2012 and OGF 36.

Demonstrations
Technical demonstrations will be held at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory, Room 2032, 842 West Taylor Street, Chicago, IL 60607, United States. Transport will be provided from the Hyatt.
