Dear all,The GLIF Secretariat is currently in the process of updating the GLIF brochure, and also on the radar is the update of the GLIF map. It would therefore be useful to have as much current information as possible on the GOLEs and their connections.
We'd therefore be grateful if all GOLE operators could check that the information on the GLIF Wiki is as accurate as possible. In particular, it would be useful to know about the links into each GOLE, with associated sponsors/provider and operator details. See the diagram at http://wiki.glif.is/index.php/NetherLight as an example.
If you don't have, or have forgotten your login details, please let me know. There may also be newer GOLEs, or GOLEs to be, that are not listed, so please let us know if you think anything should be added.
Another thing that we've identified as being potentially useful, is listing contact points at each GOLE and/or in each country with GLIF connectivity. The obvious question is where should potential users go to obtain a lightpath, and whilst such information can usually be found on the Wiki, having it in the brochure would possibly raise more awareness and interest in usage of GLIF facilities. However, given the projected lifetime of this brochure, it would be desirable to have generic contact addresses as individuals sometimes come and go.
Regards, Kevin Meynell
