Dear colleagues participating in GLIF activities,

this email is to inform you about technical possibilities for demos during the 7th Annual GLIF Meeting in Prague.

Infrastructure and Connectivity

There are two international 10G lambdas available for the meeting and
demos. One going to Chicago (StarLight) and one going to Amsterdam (NetherLight).
Both lambdas are OC-192c, VLANs are used to StarLight and
SONET-based GE circuits are used for the second lambda. If needed, VLANs
can be implemented towards Amsterdam as well.

Dark fibres will be used for connection between CESNET premises (i.e. GOLE
CzechLight and CESNET2 network) and Charles University where the GLIF
meeting will be held. Static DWDM for 10G lambdas can be used on that last mile fibre if needed. For such requests you can contact Jan Radil (jan.radil@xxxxxxxxx).

Demos

The person responsible for the demo support is Jan Furman (Jan.Furman@xxxxxxxxx).
He is the primary contact for the demos so don't hesitate to contact him.

CESNET has no idea about details of planned demos at the moment. We are collecting intents and technical requirements for each demo for support of installation. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide devices for demos (with a few small exceptions) so moving of equipment to our country is expected.
Support for each demo "case" will be solved separately.

Looking forward to meet you in Prague in September!

With the best regards

                                                  Jan Gruntorad
